Integration Tales: Immigrant Students’ Storytelling

Interviews conducted by Francesca Fauri & Paolo Galassi Documentary edited by Paolo Galassi & Elton Gjika Music Credits: YouTube Audio Library EUMCHA: The European Union and the Migration Challenge The EUMCHA project involved the production of a short documentary focused on immigration, education, and integration. To create this video, we conducted short interviews with young first- and second-generation immigrants who have followed different educational paths in Italy. Our questions focused on their personal stories, their experiences at school, and their views on integration. As we riviewed and edited the interviews, we gradually realised that these stories were often speaking about us too, as the host community. And perhaps they suggest that integration is a process that begins long before we notice it, and that it can only work through the efforts of everyone involved.
