MB457 (UM8498F) Review. Challenging repair! UMC U5SX vs Intel 486SX.

Today's Lab-Rat is my PowerTech MB457, ISA 486 Motherboard. It came to me very sick, practically dead T-T. I traced the problem to his heart (the UM8498F Chipset). I performed a heart transplant, and some other procedures. It lived again! The brain, UMC U5SX (Green CPU), was fine. The UMC U5SX is a 486SX clone brain, with superior performance.
