Atlas - Jolene (Dolly Parton cover)

Homegrown band Atlas performs Jolene, a cover version of the Dolly Parton song, at Taterstock 2026 at Lions and Sun Bar and Lounge (Sharon, Ontario). Released in 1974, Jolene was written and recorded by Dolly Parton. Covered many times since it's first release and now covered by a Gen Z band. Parton claimed she wrote this song on the same day she wrote "I Will Always Love You." The original release of Jolene became pure country gold, and was covered more than a half a dozen times. This version, by Atlas, indicates the ease of transitioning the song into the genre of Rock & Roll. Taterstock is a showcase of homegrown local musicians from northern York Region, including East Gwillimbury and Georgina.
