Modhyo Rater Banshiwala The story begins with the protagonist, Pranoy, and his family having recently settled near the banks of the Muktahari River to facilitate his elder brother's research work. One day, while at the market, Pranoy learns of terrifying incidents occurring on the river's sandbar, where fishermen are vanishing one after another, plunging the village into an atmosphere of dread. This news deeply disturbs and frightens him, as his brother had gone to the riverbank for research the previous day and has not been heard from since. Eventually, Pranoy discovers a clue in his brother's diary. He rushes to the sandbar that very night and is astonished to find his brother—disguised as a flute seller—alongside a spirit.
