Bantams Ultimate Penthouse

🐣 TODAY’S BABY DINOSAUR ADVENTURE We started today with one simple goal: Teach the chickies how to eat from their chick feeder. 🥣🐣 That experiment did NOT go according to plan. 😂 Mama Daisy decided the food did not belong inside the feeder and proceeded to thrash it out with her beak and scatter it all over the Penthouse floor. So much for that lesson. 🤦🏻‍♀️🐔 💩 PROJECT #2: CHICKIE #2’S LITTLE BOTTOM I’ve been gently trying to clean some dried poop from Chickie #2’s feathers for the past couple of days. Today we finally tried a warm-water bottom soak so I wouldn’t have to keep rubbing those tiny feathers. It worked much better! ❤️ Afterward, #2 was a little chilly, so everybody headed underneath Mama Daisy to get warm and cozy. 🏠 AND THEN GRANDPA HAD AN IDEA… I thought we were finished for the day. Nope. 😂 Grandpa suggested that the chickies were ready for a Penthouse upgrade. So I moved Mama Daisy and all four babies into a much bigger box and began creating… ✨ THE ULTIMATE PENTHOUSE! ✨ Naturally, that led to another experiment. Wood-shaving bedding. And that didn’t exactly go according to plan either. 😂 These Japanese Bantam babies are SO tiny that the deep wood shavings were practically their own little mountain range. So out came the wood shavings, and in went a flatter bedding setup that worked much better for four very tiny chickies. 🌙 FINALLY… BEDTIME At the end of the night, I turned off the lights. The chickies went: chirp chirp chirp chirp… 🐣🐣🐣🐣 Mama Daisy talked back to them. One by one, everybody figured out where they belonged… under Mommy. ❤️🐔 And then… ✨ GOLDEN SILENCE. ✨ Today’s video is a long one because you’re coming along with me as I figure all of this out in real time. Some ideas worked. Some definitely did not. 😂 Thanks for watching Mama Daisy and her four little baby dinosaurs grow! 🐔🐣🐣🐣🐣❤️ 🐣 CHAPTERS 0:00 The Chick Feeder Experiment 6:21 Chickie #2 Gets a Bottom Bath 16:15 The Ultimate Penthouse & Wood-Shavings Fail 😂 30:29 New Bedding for the Ultimate Penthouse 35:42 Lights Out with Mama Daisy 🌙 38:08 Waiting for Golden Silence 💤 #JapaneseBantam #BabyChicks #BantamChicks #BackyardChickens #BabyDinosaurs
