After reaching 20,000 subscribers on Jamie & The Jam, I wanted to look back at the journey so far. So BIG thank you to all of you who have chosen to follow along. It makes me simle!
In this video I revisit five of my favourite films I’ve made for the channel, from Kenya and Leica HQ to my Leica MP, portrait photography and some much more personal projects.
More importantly, I talk about what creating more than 100 photography videos has taught me. The importance of making work you genuinely care about, not chasing numbers, finding your own niche, working with the right brands, learning from the videos that don’t perform and why I still think starting a photography YouTube channel is absolutely worth doing.
My channel has become something I never really expected when I started it. A place to experiment, meet photographers, document experiences and build an archive of my life and photography along the way.
If you’ve ever thought about starting your own photography channel, hopefully there’s something useful in here.
