Gordon's Farm | Ep 27 | Oh, Sugar! | FS25 Kinlaig

October on Gordon's Farm, and the farm starts producing its own sugar. Field 21 — just 1.5 hectares — delivers 160,000 litres of sugar beet. That's a huge yield from a small field. A small sugar mill goes down right beside it, and the first loads of sugar beet and cut sugar beet go straight in. The smart purchase from a few months ago finally pays off: the beet ninja. Bought when a trailer was needed, it now slices sugar beet straight from the trailer, saving hours of handling. A silo goes up too, taking the remaining 80,000-odd litres of beet that the mill can't process straight away. Even with the sugar mill and silo costing £66,000–£72,000, the farm still clears over £120,000 for the month. The equipment is now owned rather than hired, so the year-on-year expenses are shrinking. The small sugar mill should be more than enough for what the farm needs. The farm is motoring.
