The Centurion D5 Evo sliding gate motor system was repaired on 25 March 2025 in Birch Acres Kemptonpark Gauteng. The client found Smart gates on you tube and requested assistance with his Centurion D5 Evo sliding gate motor. The gate motor was tested and it was found that the gate motor ran the open cycle at a very slow speed. but the closing speed was correct. Smart gates inspected the gate motor and found that the gate motor controller card was damaged. The motor drive component on the opening cycle was damaged. The only way to repair this fault, is to replace the gate motor controller card with a new one. When repairing Centurion D5 Evo sliding gate motors, it is best to check everything before one hands to site back over to the client. The installation was checked and found to be good. The battery charging voltage was too low for the use of a lithium battery and thus it was set to 14.43 volts dc. The doss disc was checked and cleaned out. The gate motor oil level was also checked and found to be good. the battery lead wire clamps were found to be worn and thus new clamps were soldered onto the battery lead wires. The gate motor limits were then programed and the gate motor was tested. The gate motor was found to be working properly.
