Friendship Peak Base Camp Trek Starting from Dhundi near Manali, the Friendship Peak Base Camp trek takes you through the beautiful Solang Valley, alpine meadows, rocky moraines and glacial terrain. The base camp lies at roughly 3,900-4,000 m (12,800-13,100 ft), beneath the imposing Friendship Peak (5,289 m). It can be done as a challenging single-day return trek from Dhundi, covering roughly 15-20 km, depending on the exact route and turnaround point. On a clear day, the trail offers spectacular views of Hanuman Tibba and the surrounding Pir Panjal peaks, glaciers and the upper Beas Valley. A short trek, but one that gives you a proper taste of the high Himalayas.
