FIRST TIME HEARING “WORK” by NO NA… THAT PRODUCTION IS INSANE!! 🤯🇮🇩

BROOOOO… THIS is the one. 😭🔥🇮🇩 Today I'm reacting to no na – WORK and I think I've just found my favourite no na song so far. The SONG is ridiculously catchy, the choreography is insane and visually the video is beautiful — but as a producer, THAT PRODUCTION absolutely grabbed me. The percussion and rhythmic elements immediately gave me this almost Tribal House / Deep House feeling, and it reminded me of the feeling I had years ago discovering artists like Azealia Banks and hearing that combination of vocals with house-influenced production. But here's where I need my Indonesian Clouds… 🇮🇩👇🏾 What exactly am I hearing in those drums?! Because I've since seen people talking about Indonesian rhythmic influences and gamelan-inspired elements in WORK, and now I REALLY want to understand what I'm hearing from an Indonesian musical perspective. This is exactly why I love discovering music from around the world. I can hear something through my own musical background and recognise similarities to sounds I already know — but there can be an entire cultural influence underneath it that I've never encountered before. And THAT'S what makes this journey so sick. 🌍🔥 The bright coloured sets, styling and choreography only pushed it further.
