Governor Patrick Morrisey announced an 800-thousand-dollar state grant recommendation to complete funding for an 8.7 million dollar water extension project serving parts of Wyoming and Mingo counties. The project will improve water service for more than 200 existing customers in the Justice area and bring public water to approximately 215 potential customers in Hanover, where many homes and businesses currently rely on private wells. The expansion will also provide access to public water for Huff Consolidated School and the R.D. Bailey Lake facility. State Senator Rollan Roberts called the continued investment in clean water infrastructure for Wyoming County residents "remarkable." Officials say the project is one step closer to construction pending final approval in November.#WyomingCountyWV #WestVirginia #SouthernWestVirginia #WVNews #WestVirginiaNews #CleanWater #WaterInfrastructure #RuralAmerica #PublicWater #Infrastructure #MingoCounty #HanoverWV #JusticeWV #GovernorMorrisey #PatrickMorrisey #LocalNews #CommunityNews #EconomicDevelopment #MountainState #WVPolitics
