Blessed Shall You Be Based on Deuteronomy 28:1–14 “Blessed Shall You Be” is a Scripture-based worship song inspired by the blessings YeHoVaH spoke to His people in Deuteronomy 28. These blessings were not given without condition. YeHoVaH called His people to diligently listen to His voice, keep His commandments, and walk faithfully in His ways. LYRICS: If you diligently listen To the voice of YeHoVaH, Careful to keep His Commandments And faithfully walk in His ways, All these blessings shall come upon you, And overtake you on your way, When you obey the voice Of YeHoVaH your God. Blessed shall you be in the city, Blessed shall you be in the field, Blessed shall be your children within your gates, And the fruit that your ground shall yield. He shall provide for your house, And supply all your needs, Blessed when you come in, And when you go out— When you obey the voice of YeHoVaH. When your enemies rise against you, YeHoVaH will cause them to flee; They may come against you one way, But seven ways they shall leave. YeHoVaH commands His blessing Upon your household and your land, And He blesses all the work That you do with your hands. Blessed shall you be in the city, Blessed shall you be in the field, Blessed shall be your children within your gates, And the fruit that your ground shall yield. He shall provide for your house, And supply all your needs, Blessed when you come in, And when you go out— When you obey the voice of YeHoVaH. YeHoVaH will establish you As a people holy to Him, When you keep His Commandments And walk in His ways. All the peoples of the earth shall see That His name is upon you, And they shall stand in awe Of YeHoVaH, the Most High. YeHoVaH will open the heavens, And give rain in its season, He will cause you to prosper, And increase what He has given. You shall lend unto many, But you shall not need to borrow, He will make you the head and not the tail, Above and not below. Blessed shall you be in the city, Blessed shall you be in the field, Blessed shall be your children within your gates, And the fruit that your ground shall yield. He shall provide for your house, And supply all your needs, Blessed when you come in, And when you go out— When you obey the voice of YeHoVaH.
