ATMOSPHERIC HORROR AMBIENCE | Eastern Tennessee Terrors | Appalachian Nightmares

This video and soundscape explore the spooky lore of the Appalachian mountains--specifically eastern Tennessee. People have referred to the Bell Witch Cave, the Wildmen of Tennessee, Moon-eyed people, shape-shifting creatures that can imitate human voices, and even the Brown Mountain lights on the other side of the mountains in North Carolina. The science says that the birth of what we now call the Appalachian mountains began over a billion years ago. Who knows what's lurking in those woods, mountains, and caves? I created this soundscape using Logic Pro X (10.1.8), a generative VCV Rack synth patch, recorded audio, and select sounds from Freesound.org*. Conceived in my nightmares and musings, the visuals were created from multiple, hours-long image-blending sessions in Mid-Journey.
