Alien Cadet Said Humans "Break Like Glass" — He Found Out What Glass Does When It Breaks Back | HFY

An Alien Cadet Said Humans "Break Like Glass" — He Found Out What Glass Does When It Breaks Back | HFY Cadet Mara Okafor is the only human at the Kessandra-9 Combined Forces Academy, and the Vitrian cadets — crystalline, elegant, and lethal with a blade — think she's one hard hit away from shattering. Cadet Threx Vallenor says it to her face: humans break like glass. He's about to learn that glass that breaks back doesn't stop at one crack. When a pirate raid hits the station mid-trial and the academy's prized duelists freeze under real impact, it's the 'fragile' human who holds the line — and teaches an entire crystalline species what a deathworld's child actually survives. This is an original HFY (Humanity, F*** Yeah) sci-fi story: a galaxy that writes Earth off as a weak class-three world is about to find out why that classification is a very dangerous mistake.
