I CAME WITH NOTHING (Ruth -Lyric Video)

What can God build along a road we never expected to walk? “I Came with Nothing” imagines Ruth’s journey from bereavement in Moab to belonging in Bethlehem. With loyalty, gleaned barley, and unexpected kindness, the song traces hope taking root in a life marked by loss. Ruth seeks enough for tomorrow, while the story unfolds toward a family and a place in the ancestry of David—and, generations later, Jesus. Her story invites us to notice the significance of faithful love and ordinary kindness. Could grace be meeting us in the field where we are simply trying to make it through the day? This song is a creative interpretation inspired by Scripture, rather than a word-for-word retelling. Ruth’s inner thoughts are imagined, and the song includes a Christian reflection on redemption.
