Using AI tools to find scholarly sources: student survey findings A recorded (keynote/workshop/presenter) session from the 2026 ANZREG Conference, held online from 25–27 August 2026. Session information 📅 Originally streamed: Wednesday 26 August 2026 🎤 Presenter(s): Cathy Slaven 🏢 Organisation: Queensland University of Technology About this session In late 2025 and again in May 2026, QUT Library conducted a survey to understand how our students use (or do not use) AI tools to find articles and other scholarly sources for their assignments and research. The survey also asked students if they would find AI features useful in the Library Search (Primo VE). This presentation provides an overview of the approach we took, the questions asked and a summary of the findings.
