Fragments of Japan: Typhoon Day in Tokyo (Art, Food & Anime)

In today’s episode of Fragments of Japan, a typhoon hits Tokyo—but a little stormy weather isn't stopping us from getting out and exploring the city. We start the day dodging the rain and taking cover inside Tokyo’s world-class gallery scene, starting at the National Museum of Modern Art before heading over to the striking National Art Center, Tokyo. After soaking in the art, we make our way Underground to Tokyo Station to dry off, grab a bite, and explore the sprawling maze of shops. To wrap up the rainy evening, we head to Ginza for some smoky, delicious yakitori before making a final night stop in Akihabara to see the neon lights reflect off the wet streets.
