August 7th will forever be a day etched in our nation's history. Inspired originally by the Simmele massacre of 1933, it has now become a day to remember all Assyrian martyrs. On this day we Assyrians remember those who lost their lives in defense of their culture and way of life as well as the victims of the genocides perpetrated against our nation.
