Building Our DREAM STUDIO! | EP.1 - THE UGLY TRUTH

Some buildings are more than four walls and a roof. Some hold a lifetime of memories, hard work, and family history. ❤️ Welcome to DAY ONE of our journey to transform an old mechanic shop in Edmond, Oklahoma, into our dream studio! This shop belonged to Kelli’s dad, Butch, a lifelong race car mechanic who spent his life at the track, working on the cars he loved to race. Back in its prime, this was his personal shop — a place where he spent countless hours doing what he loved. But as the years passed, time took its toll. Butch got older, and the shop grew older with him. What was once a place full of life, racing, and mechanical work eventually became worn down, neglected, and damaged by water. Now, we're getting ready to give this space a whole new purpose. In this first episode, we're taking you inside for an honest, unfiltered walkthrough of the building exactly as it stands today. You'll see the water damage, the rough condition, and the reality of what we're starting with. This is the ugly truth before the cleanup, demolition, and transformation begin. But this isn't just about fixing up an old building. It's about taking a place with a history and giving it a future. 🏁 FROM A TOOL SHOP TO DREAM STUDIO Over the next year, we're documenting the entire transformation — from the first walkthrough and demolition to the repairs, construction, creative studio build-out, finishing touches, and grand opening. Here’s what you can expect: 🔨 The real demolition and renovation process 🏚️ Water damage and the challenges hiding inside an old building 🛠️ DIY construction, repairs, and rebuilding 🎨 Designing and creating our dream studio 📹 Behind-the-scenes footage and the reality of the process 🏁 The story and history behind Butch’s old race car shop ✨ The final transformation and grand opening in Edmond, Oklahoma We're showing the journey from beginning to end — the good, the bad, the unexpected problems, and every bit of progress along the way.
