There is no throne in it. No ruler seated in flames, no horns, no pitchfork, no prince of darkness commanding an army of demons. In the Book of Enoch, the first being ever sentenced to the fire is bound hand and foot, thrown into a hole in the desert, buried under jagged rocks, and has his face covered so he cannot see the light. The fire is prepared for him. He does not command it. He is its first prisoner.
And the name God tells the archangels to write every sin against is not Satan.
In this video: what the word satan actually meant in the Hebrew scriptures — a title, not a name, used even for the angel of the Lord; why the serpent in Genesis is never once called Satan; who Isaiah's "morning star" really was; the two hundred watchers who came down on Mount Hermon and the leaders the book names; the one held responsible for all sin — and the ritual in your own Bible that still sends a goat into the wilderness with his name on it.
We also trace where the ruler of hell really comes from. Not scripture. Not even Dante, who leaves Satan frozen in ice at the bottom of the pit. The reigning rebel is largely a later literary creation — while Matthew 25 says plainly that the fire was prepared for the devil and his angels.
And we stay honest about the later Book of Parables, where the satans appear as accusers barred from God's court, the fallen become subject to a single Satan, and a watcher named Gadreel is identified as the one who led Eve astray.
Primary sources: 1 Enoch 6–10 (the descent, the oath on Hermon, Azazel and the binding), 1 Enoch 40, 54 and 69 (the satans, Gadreel); Aramaic fragments from Qumran Cave 4; the Greek Akhmim manuscript; the Ge'ez text preserved in the Ethiopian Orthodox canon. Cross-references: Genesis 3, Leviticus 16, Numbers 22:22–32, 2 Samuel 24:1, 1 Chronicles 21:1, Job 1, Isaiah 14:4–15, Ezekiel 28, Zechariah 3, Matthew 25:41, Jude 6, Revelation 12 and 20.
Every chapter and verse in this video can be checked. That is the point.
