Weyl algebra

In this video, we introduce the Weyl algebra which captures the algebra one can use to study many differential equations. This algebra can be described as the algebra of polynomial differential operators. This is the first video in a playlist which will go on to show more generally, how algebra plays an important role in the theory of differential equations. The playlist continue with the theory of Lie groups which are infinite groups of symmetries which can be studied by differential methods.
