Take a first look inside Great Tides Waterpark at Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian Cruise Line’s brand-new water park in the Bahamas! I was one of the early visitors to this new water park, and in this video I’m taking you inside to show you what Great Tides is really like — from the massive Tidal Tower and its collection of waterslides to the unique cliff jumps at Cliffside Cove, the four-person Great Slide, Fearless Falls, the Wandering River, and Splash Key for younger kids. You’ll see what the water park looks like, what the attractions are like, how easy it is to get there, and what you can expect when you visit Great Stirrup Cay on a Norwegian Cruise Line cruise. I’ll also show you the cabanas, the bars inside the water park, the food options, seating areas, lockers, towels, and some of the practical things you’ll want to know before spending your day here. One of the most unique attractions is Cliffside Leap, where you can jump from platforms approximately 13 feet and 8 feet above the water. If you think a 13-foot jump doesn't sound that high, wait until you're standing at the top looking down! And if cliff jumping isn't your thing, there are plenty of other ways to have fun. Great Tides features 19 waterslides and attractions, including the slides in the 170-foot-tall Tidal Tower, water-coaster-style Breakwater Blasters, body slides, racing slides, tube slides, and more. For families, Splash Key offers a dedicated kids' splash area with kid-friendly slides and interactive water features. And if you're looking for something a little more relaxing, the Wandering River gives you a chance to slow things down and float through the park. I'll also talk about the price of Great Tides Waterpark and whether I think it's worth paying for. I visited during the park's early opening and paid $40, which I thought was a great value. But Norwegian's pricing can vary depending on the sailing and availability, so I'll explain why the price you pay can make a difference in deciding whether this water park is worth it. And while the main focus of this video is Great Tides Waterpark, I'll also show you some clips of the rest of Great Stirrup Cay along the way, so you can get a feel for the island and see what else is around the water park. I'll also compare Great Tides with Royal Caribbean's Perfect Day at CocoCay, since these two cruise line private-island destinations are located remarkably close to one another in the Bahamas. After experiencing both, I'll share which water park I think has the edge. If you're considering a Norwegian Cruise Line cruise to Great Stirrup Cay, thinking about buying a Great Tides Waterpark pass, or simply curious about this brand-new Bahamas water park, this video will give you an early look at what you can expect. Is Great Tides Waterpark worth the price? And how does it compare with CocoCay? Watch the video and let me know what you think in the comments!
