"BLEEDING HUMANITY" | AWARD-WINNING SHORT FILM

Stemming from her adoption, a curious girl navigates who she is and what defines her as human, confronted by her relationship with her sister and an exotic encounter that becomes the catalyst. "Bleeding Humanity" is my second official short film, made at 17. I'd been writing it and creating its concept all throughout my senior year, finally going into production near the end. The film was shot in a grueling 5 days, then took up my whole summer just to edit. Maybe in the future I can take this concept and create something more with it, or explore its supernatural/sci-fi elements a bit more (if you look closely, you can uncover some things that the story didn't get into ;). Okay, also yes, JUMPSCARE of my voice in the ending monologue, but hey, desperate times call for desperate measures, and I didn't have anyone else. The film is on Letterboxd and IMDb, so make sure to go give it a rating there if you can. Although the storylines don't align, this takes place in the same universe as "Ecdysis". If you have any questions about the film, leave a comment, and I will try to answer them for you! Enjoy "Bleeding Humanity"!
