Radley Then & Now: Women of Radley

Women and girls have been part of Radley since its earliest days, but their stories have often been overlooked or left out of the official record. In this Radley Then & Now event, College Archivist Clare Sargent explores the changing role of women at Radley, from matrons, nurses, teachers and wives to the first female pupils who arrived in 1975. We are also joined by former pupils and members of the Radley community, who share their own memories of life in and around a traditionally boys’ school.
