When Cops Realize They're Chasing an Expert

Five real police chases from the Arkansas State Police's own dash cameras, and the getaway drivers who seemed to know exactly what they were doing. A Mustang driver waits until two troopers are standing at his door, then leaves them in the road. A Hellcat flies past a trooper on the shoulder of Interstate 630, and he tops out at 142 without ever seeing it again. A Camaro slows to 41 like it's pulling over, then disappears. A man on a red Honda with no plate asks which ticket is the cheapest, then takes off. Outcomes, as the footage and the records show them: The Mustang, the Hellcat and the Camaro got away from the troopers in these videos; the videos don't show any of them being caught. The rider on the Honda was picked up later by Calhoun County deputies. According to the trooper's report he was charged with felony fleeing, failure to register the vehicle, no liability insurance, reckless driving, driving the wrong way down a one-way roadway, left of center, improper lane usage, no motorcycle operator license and failure to present a driver's license. The Challenger's driver was stopped on Interstate 40 near Carlisle and arrested. Anyone charged is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
