Northallerton Station is located on the East Coast Mainline between York and Newcastle. The station is managed by TransPennine Express with services by Grand Central, LNER and TransPennine Express all calling here: LNER services operate frequently towards: Newcastle, York and London Kings Cross with these services being operated with a mix of Class 800-802 Diesel Electric Multiple Units as well as Intercity 225's (Class 91 Loco Hauled Mark IV Stock) Grand Central services operate towards London Kings Cross or Sunderland with these services being operated with Class 180 Diesel Multiple Units. TransPennine Express services operate towards: Newcastle. Redcar Central, Middlesborough, Leeds, Liverpool Lime Street and Manchester with these services being operated with Class 185 Diesel Multiple Units and Class 802 Diesel Electric Multiple Units.
