Tuesday of the 27th Week in Ordinary Time Luke 10:38-42 Mary has chosen the better part

Sitting at the Lord's feet, I lay down my busyness Every day, we live like Martha, busy with many tasks and anxieties. The harder we work, the more exhausted we become, and sometimes feelings of resentment and complaints toward others arise. To us, the Lord says, "You are anxious and worried about many things," and reminds us that only 'one thing' chosen by Mary is necessary. That is to sit at the Lord's feet and listen to His word. All our activities and service can endure without burnout only when they begin with intimate fellowship with the Lord. Today, why not pause for a moment and choose the better part—to stay by the Lord's side? That is where true peace abides.
