RULES NOTES / FINE PRINT FOR THE SHORT (no corrections needed) Ghave's first ability removes a +1/+1 counter from any creature you control, not just Ghave. Neither ability taps Ghave. Ghave is 0/0, so removing its last counter kills it. Corpsejack Menace and Winding Constrictor also apply to counters a creature enters with (Scryfall rulings); you choose the order (add one, then double). Mycoloth can devour any creatures you control, not only Saprolings; its upkeep tokens count all +1/+1 counters on it. Juniper Order Ranger puts a counter on each other creature that enters and one on itself. Set check (Scryfall, first printings): Ghave, Guru of Spores Commander 2011; Juniper Order Ranger Coldsnap; Corpsejack Menace Return to Ravnica; Mycoloth Shards of Alara; Fungal Sprouting Magic 2013; Sporemound Magic 2014. Prices are approximate (lowest non-gold-border printings per Scryfall/TCGplayer data, Oct 2026) and change often. Card images and data via Scryfall.
