MEMEZAWAY | Everybody's Fragile

N3W 5H035 N3W 50CK5 (New Shoes New Socks) is a collection of original songs by MemezAway, exploring genre-blending, guitar-driven songwriting, and experimental music production. This collection challenged me more creatively and musically than anything I've released before. I experimented with different genres, modes, arrangements, instruments, vocal effects, and production techniques. Some ideas worked immediately. Others took revisions, mistakes, and a lot of figuring things out. I think these are my strongest songs yet, but I'll let you decide. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎸 HOW I MAKE THE MUSIC I write my lyrics, develop the musical ideas, record guitar and original vocal performances, and arrange and produce the songs. I use an Epiphone SG electric guitar, a classical guitar, and a keyboard. There's no single recipe. Sometimes I record guitar and convert a part to MIDI for a virtual instrument. Sometimes I work things out on the keyboard. Sometimes an element generated in Suno Studio fits the song and I keep it; other times I rework it, replace it, or start over. REAPER is where I edit, arrange, and mix. My toolbox includes Neural DSP, EZdrummer, RX 12, Nectar 4, Neutron 5, Ozone 12, Suno Studio, and music-production and analysis tools I've developed myself. I also use ChatGPT and Grok to explore music theory, chord progressions, scales, and modes. I take what I learn back to my guitar or keyboard and experiment until I find something useful. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🤖 ABOUT THE AI I understand why some listeners have questions about AI in music, and I prefer to be straightforward about how I use it. These aren't one-prompt uploads. I write the lyrics, develop the songs, perform my guitar parts, record the original vocals, and shape the arrangements and final production. Some finished vocal parts, instrumentation, textures, and effects are AI-assisted or generated. The balance varies from track to track; I use whatever approach serves the music. I don't have a major-label production team behind me. I have guitars, a keyboard, a microphone, a notebook, software, some tools I built myself, and a love of music. I keep learning and experimenting. Make of it what you will.
