41 Winter Vegetables: Direct Sowing vs Nursery | Winter Vegetables Part 2 | Gardening With Javed Iqbal Which winter vegetables should be directly sown, and which ones should first be raised in a nursery? In Part 2 of our Winter Vegetables Series, we cover the same 41 vegetables and herbs discussed in Part 1 and explain the correct starting method for each crop under Lahore and other hot plains of Pakistan conditions. We divide them into four simple groups: 🌱 Direct Sowing — sow the seed directly where the plant will finally grow. 🌱 Nursery / Seedling — raise healthy seedlings first, then transplant them. 🌱 Either Method — both direct sowing and nursery raising can be used. 🌱 Special Method — crops normally started from tubers, cloves, runners, divisions or cuttings.
