GROUND REPORT : Karapur women refuse to give up 150 plus day battle against LODHAS & Govt

150 Days of Resistance: The Brave Lionesses of Karapur Stand Unbroken | INK Goa Ground Report This is arguably Goa’s longest continuous, sustained protest by locals from a single venue. For 150 days, the women of Karapur have taken on the might of one of the richest and most powerful corporates in the country—along with a system that enabled them—to save the future of their village, their land, and their children. If this is not a pilgrimage of courage, then what is? Every single day, starting at 10:00 AM until the sun sets, the women of Karapur hold the fort. From braving changing weather to facing police detention on Goa Revolution Day (June 18) at Azad Maidan, these warriors have proven that they will neither bow nor bend to a powerful system. As the village recently commemorated the 150th day of their agitation and pushes forward, INK Goa looks back at the unprecedented citizens' movement that has traveled from the Panchayat office in Karapur all the way to the corridors of power in Delhi.
