The Hel Walkers continue their uneasy alliance with the Insidious Fist to cleanse Valkenburg Foundation of puppeteer banes after Victor Helms and Orson Gravely die in the initial assault, leaving Skitters cornered by possessed staff while the rest of the pack enters the Umbra. The group splits between intercepting Gravely’s escaping spirit and reaching the building, with Stormspeaker boosting the pack via Song of Valor. Skitters escapes into the Umbra, battles the puppet spirits riding Ben and Harry, and the pack tracks remaining banes with rites and gifts. At Devil’s Tower, Stormspeaker destroys Gravely’s spirit and a Wyrm fetish, but tensions erupt as the Black Spiral Dancers turn on each other; True Strike kills Hoschgrom, Shadrac flees, and Lyshta offers to abandon the Wyrm.
