Serato SLAB + Koala Sampler: Is This the Best MIDI Controller? Full Beat Making Session

I’m on a mission to find the best MIDI controller for Koala Sampler. In this episode of RAW Flips, I’m putting the Serato SLAB to the test with Koala Sampler on the iPad and making a full beat from start to finish. I love how fast Koala lets me get ideas moving, but I have been trying to find the hardware controller that gives it the best combination of pads, buttons, workflow, portability, and overall feel. So instead of just talking about specs, I’m actually making beats with each controller and seeing how it performs in a real session. For this episode, I’m testing the Serato SLAB as a MIDI controller for Koala Sampler. I’ll be looking at: • Pad feel and responsiveness • MIDI mapping inside Koala Sampler • Workflow and speed • Controls and available buttons • Portability • How well the hardware works with the Koala workflow • Whether I would actually keep using it This is a full beat making session, so you can see how the Serato SLAB performs when I’m actually chopping samples, sequencing drums, building arrangements, and making music instead of just running through features.
