We travelled down to Waitara from Auckland for the weekend on a very optimistic 13 to 16 knot forecast and 1.5m swell... and it paid off! The first of three days turned out to be a fantastic day with a decent turnout from the locals enjoying the start of the long awaited El Niño! And there was more of the same over the next few days...
