The Subic Special Economic and Freeport Zone, often shorterned as Subic Bay or Subic, is a special economic zone and freeport area covering portions of the city of Olongapo and the town of Subic in Zambales, and the towns of Morong and Hermosa in Bataan. Subic is a coastal municipality in the province of Zambales. The municipality has a land area of 287.16 square kilometers or 110.87 square miles which constitutes 7.91% of Zambales's total area. Subic Bay, embayment of the South China Sea, southwestern Luzon, Philippines. The bay is located 35 miles (55 km) northwest of the mouth of Manila Bay and extends northward into the Luzon coastline.
