dino meteor

What really killed the dinosaurs 66 million years ago wasn't just an asteroid. This documentary traces the discovery of the 180km Chicxulub crater beneath Yucatan, the worldwide iridium clay layer at Gubbio, and the 1 to 2 year impact winter that collapsed photosynthesis and wiped out 75% of species. It then examines India's Deccan Traps, mercury spikes and climate swings that had poisoned oceans and atmosphere for 250,000 years before impact.
