Hampta Pass Trek | The Journey to Chhatru & Chandratal | Episode 4

Some journeys are remembered for the destinations. Others, for the little moments, unexpected companions, and feelings that stay with us long after we return. This is Day 4 of my Hampta Pass Trek — a journey through the rugged trails of the Himalayas, from Shea goru to Chhatru, and finally to the peaceful Chandratal Lake. 🏔️ The day was filled with river crossings, breathtaking mountain landscapes, and unexpected friendships. The dogs who had accompanied us on the previous day continued walking alongside us for part of the trail before turning back, leaving us to continue our journey without them. At Chhatru, another furry friend crossed my path. After lunch, I headed towards Chandratal — a place where the stillness of the lake and the vastness of the mountains make you pause, breathe, and simply be present. We eventually returned to Chhatru for the night, carrying memories of the trail, the companions we met, and a little poetry from the heart. Somewhere between the mountains and the silence, this journey became more than just a trek.
