In this video, I break down Lanterns Episodes 1 and 2, looking at the writing, character decisions, Green Lantern power inconsistencies, the mystery surrounding Rushville, the Manhunters, and the increasingly questionable relationship between Hal Jordan and John Stewart. We’ll talk about Hal’s bizarre training methods, John’s inexplicably powerful ring constructs, the Green Lantern ring’s inconsistent battery rules, Sheriff Kane's suspicious behavior, the Rushville conspiracy, and the many scenes that seem to happen simply because the plot needs them to. And yes, we also need to talk about how this version of Hal Jordan is being written.
