The Journey Back Was Emotional | 1,500+ KM Journey, Sandstorms | Salalah to Dubai Road Trip

The final chapter of our Salalah road trip is here. 🇴🇲➡️🇦🇪 After an incredible few days exploring Salalah during Khareef season, it was finally time to pack our bags, leave the hotel and begin the long drive back to Dubai. We started the morning slowly with breakfast before hitting the road from Mirbat, driving through Thumrait and Haima. Somewhere in the middle of the desert, we witnessed one of the most magical sunsets of the entire journey. But as daylight disappeared, the drive became much more challenging — long empty stretches, sandstorms, no streetlights and the tiring Haima-to-Nizwa road. A quick coffee stop at a drive-through café in Haima gave us a little energy before continuing towards Nizwa. By then, it was late at night and the exhaustion was real. We stopped at a petrol station for a quick break, where Shradhya cut some fresh guava for a little refreshment before we got back on the road. From Nizwa, we continued towards the Mezyad Border, crossed into the UAE and eventually entered Dubai through Al Ain. The border process was surprisingly seamless, and after the long journey, our final stop was an Emirates petrol station — where we had a small breakfast with almond custard, the famous Emirates tea and coffee. And then came the part we didn't expect to be so emotional. We sat down, talked about the entire journey, our favourite moments, the memories we made together and what we appreciated about each other along the way. Four episodes, thousands of kilometres, countless little moments — and now, our Salalah story comes to an end.
