BREAKING: Xbox SHUTS DOWN Halo Studios

Xbox just dropped another round of cuts today as part of their ongoing “reset”: 268 more jobs gone across Halo Studios, other first-party teams, and management. Halo Studios (the old 343i) is being slashed down to a tiny support crew for existing games while Activision takes over the next mainline Halo title with a brand-new team. After years of the franchise sliding, this is the moment a lot of us saw coming. I’m not gonna lie — it feels good watching the people who steered Halo off a cliff finally get shown the door. The same studio that turned a legendary series into live-service experiments, campaign reboots nobody asked for, and endless delays is now a skeleton crew, and the next game is being handed to someone else.
