I went on a very special day hike on the Beech Bottom Trail of the Cohutta Wilderness. It was particularly special because I shared the trail with my father, the one that first showed me the awesome beauty of God's creation. I chose the Beech Bottom Trail because of its easy access to the Jacks River Falls. My dad had watched my videos and wanted to visit the falls. Actually the trailhead begins in Tennessee in the Cherokee National Forest. It crosses back into the Cohutta Wilderness of the Chattahoochee National Forest after about a quarter of a mile and then back into Georgia for the majority of the hike. The mountain laurel was in full bloom and gorgeous. Jacks River Falls was beautiful and as I expected this time of year there were a few folks there enjoying the falls. The hike was wonderful but I will always cherish the time I spent with my dad! Thanks for watching. Enjoy and keep hiking!
