I recently created a new client, imported their rate sheet, selected a grouped inspection crew, entered the project duration and travel, and had a structured quote ready in about two minutes. The longer-term goal is even bigger: Set the project up once in Project Manager, push the operational package into the correct Facility or Pipeline field program, bring time and billing quantities back, review them, and generate the invoice without recreating the same information in multiple systems. And while it is being built around the inspection and integrity industry, the underlying model can support much more than NDT. A service company can bring its existing rates, employees, certifications, billing history, terminology, quote formats and invoice formats into the system and keep working the way its customers already expect — just with the entire workflow connected.
