In this episode of HOT-CAST, we welcome Claudia Ben, a French-Peruvian journalist and public relations professional specializing in Latin music and reggaeton in France.
Growing up, Latin music was her way of connecting with her Peruvian roots. What started as a passion eventually became a vision: bringing visibility to a music scene that had very little representation in French media.
Claudia shares how she moved to Paris without connections, started interviewing artists without getting paid, and spent eight years building a career she could finally make a living from. From her first interview with De La Ghetto to working with artists such as Blessd, Latin Mafia and Alleh, she takes us through the challenges, experiences and lessons that shaped her journey.
We also discuss the work behind public relations, the importance of long-term vision, opportunities for emerging artists and the challenges of building a career as a woman in the music industry.
A conversation about perseverance, vision and the unseen work behind the artists and moments we see on stage and social media.
