Processing Wool from the Farm | A New Fibre Adventure!

My little cottage is on a hill farm in Northumberland. I am surrounded by cows and sheep! I love to watch the sheep being sheared and earlier in the summer, I enjoyed watching the skill of the shearers. The last four sheep to go through were the Blue Faced Leicesters. If you know anything about fibre you'll know that this wool is lovely for spinning into yarn. So I bought all four of these fleeces with an idea to process them for a winter project. I've never done anything like this before and I tackled this in my usual way - lots of YouTube research and the attitude 'How Hard Can It Be?' and 'Whats The Worst That Can Happen!' So in this video you can find out how well I got on with this very smelly process! In other news, The Last Homely House Shop will be closing at the end of September!
