Plum Jerkum Border Morris dance "Morris Traveller" at their Wassail in Long Itchington 2025

Plum Jerkum Wassailing with friends, Alvechurch Morris, Bakanalia Border Morris and Elemental Border Morris in Long Itchington on Saturday 1st March 2025. Starting outside the Green Man, moving onto the plum tree opposite the Harvester where the Wassail took place, food and mulled wine consumed and a few dances performed. Then onto the Buck and Bell to finish off the day. Plum Jerkum are Warwick's very own mixed Border Morris side! Practices alt. Mondays 8pm @ CV34 4TH plumjerkum@plumjerkum.co.uk Plum Jerkum dance in the Border Morris Tradition which originated in the counties bordering on Wales-Shropshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire and we uphold the tradition of wearing colourful rag jackets Border Morris was a winter tradition but nowadays you can see us all year round at local and national events and festivals. Each year we visit the village of Long Itchington on our annual Wassail tour where we drive 'evil beasties' from the fruit trees to promote a good harvest to make Plum Jerkum cider.
