Robotic Car Wheel Handling

At almost 80 feet long, this wheel loading system relies on three Fanuc robots and an array of motorized conveyor lanes to process palletized wheel sets. Robot #1 tends to an inconsistent set of pallet lids, dividers, bases, and protective packaging layers - removing and discarding using vacuum grippers. Robot #2 steps in to tenderly move each wheel to a specified conveyor lane. Picking is vision-guided based on the wheel center and the known dimensions of the product type being processed.
