To nasza kolejna podróż na wyspę słońca, Sycylię. Tym razem wybraliśmy jej stolicę Palermo. Jakie atrakcje i zabytki czekają na nas w tym niezwykłym mieście, często kojarzonym z działaniem mafii. Odcięliśmy się od takiego postrzegania Palermo, bo to już przeszłość, nastawiliśmy się na specyficzny klimat jaki jest tylko na Sycylii i nie zawiedliśmy się. A co zobaczyliśmy? Zaczęliśmy od bramy miejskiej Porta Nuova, która daje początek głównej ulicy miasta Corso Vittorio Emanuele. Na "pierwszy ogień" wzięliśmy Pałac Normanów, w którym zobaczyć możemy m. in. Kaplicę Palatyńska o wystroju łączącym wiele kultur i religii. Poznamy postać króla Rogera II i pospacerujemy w w królewskich ogrodach. To nie jedyny park w mieście, bo zawitamy również w Villa Bonnani, Villa Giulia, Via Garibaldi oraz najważniejszym Ogrodzie botanicznym. W każdym z nich zobaczymy gigantycznych rozmiarów fikusy. Zwiedzimy Katedrę od piwnicy aż po dach i kilka innych ciekawych architektonicznie świątyń. Zobaczymy płac Qutro Canti, Pretoria i Bellini. Zapoznamy się z przysmakami sycylijskiej kuchni, a także zobaczymy trzy historyczne mercati. Przespacerujemy się nadmorska promenadą. Następnie wybierzemy się do Muzeum Marionetek, a na koniec do wspaniałego Teatro Massimo. Tyle i jeszcze więcej zobaczycie w dzisiejszym odcinku, na który serdecznie zapraszam. This time, we'll choose its capital, Palermo. What attractions and monuments are available in this city, often associated with the Mafia? We've already abandoned the strange perception of Palermo, having already launched it, set our sights on a server unique to Sicily, and we weren't disappointed. And what did we see? We started at the Porta Nuova gate, which marks the beginning of the city's main street, Corso Vittorio Emanuele. Our first stop was the Norman Palace, which contained, among other things, the Palatine Chapel, which is open to many cultures and religions. We'll learn about King Roger II and stroll through the royal gardens. This isn't the only park in the city, as we'll also visit Villa Bonnani, Villa Giulia, Via Garibaldi, and the Botanical Gardens. In each case, be sure to familiarize yourself with the gigantic size of the ficus trees. We'll explore the Cathedral from the basement to the roof, as well as several other architecturally interesting churches. We'll see the Placa Qutro Canti, Pretoria, and Bellini. We'll sample the delights of Sicilian cuisine and visit three historic mercati. We'll stroll along the seaside promenade.
