XTC - Roads Girdle the Globe (1979) (Partridge).

PLEASE BE AWARE THIS VIDEO HAS FLASHING LIGHTS AND IMAGES. This video is another experiment with software, combined with a labour of love for a band that I have been a fan of over the years. In this case it's the Swindon band, XTC. This song is from the classic (well, they're all classics!) XTC album, 'Drums and Wires' which was released in August of 1979 and is their third album. (Although this is the 5.1, 2014 remix version, by Steven Wilson). 'Roads Girdle the Globe' is an album track that was never released as a single, but is a perfect showcase for the-then, new guitar player, Dave Gregory. As with my other video edits for Blue Oyster Cult, Montrose etc. available here on this YouTube channel, this is a non-profit fan endeavour, and meant entirely as a way to try out some editing ideas and to pay tribute to a band that doesn't get nearly enough recognition within critical circles. Please feel to 'like' and 'subscribe', (algorithms n' all that), and also, by all means, feel free to leave a (non-abusive) comment below. Cheers - Van
