Eyes On What Is Eternal | Ptr. Wilfredo Mangubat

In this message, Ptr. Wilfredo Mangubat continues from Matthew 6:22-23, where the eye is the light of the body. Where your attention goes shapes how you live. 2 Corinthians 4:18 says we look not at the things which are seen, because they are temporal, but at the things which are not seen, which are eternal. Under the Old Covenant, signs and wonders were given to bring Israel to trust God. In the New Covenant, Ephesians 1:3 says we are already blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ. Ptr. Mangubat also shows from Galatians 6:7-8 and John 6:63 why sowing to the Spirit matters more than sowing to the flesh. He then explains why the gospel needs to be clear in the mind of every believer. 2 Corinthians 3:17 says where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty, and Ephesians 1:13 says we were sealed with the Spirit after we heard the gospel of our salvation. From 1 John 4:19 and Romans 5:8, he shows that God loved us first, while we were yet sinners. Galatians 3:24 tells us the law was a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. The message closes with the love of Christ that constrains us (2 Corinthians 5:14-15), the circumcision of the heart in the Spirit (Romans 2:28-29, Colossians 2:11, Philippians 3:3), and the assurance that what Christ finished cannot be undone. As priests (Hebrews 5:1), we are called to share the gospel with confidence.
