Meet the class leaders of Basic Law Enforcement Academy Class 941 as they prepare to graduate from the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission’s Northeast Regional Campus in Spokane. Class President Troy Hertlein of the Okanogan County Sheriff’s Office and Vice President Anessa Cordova of the Selah Police Department share what brought them to law enforcement, what they learned during 19 weeks of BLEA training and why their class chose the motto “Called to this moment.” Class 941 brought together recruits with different careers, ages and life experiences, all preparing to return to communities across Washington as new law enforcement officers.
